What is the HMB Beach Volleyball Club?
The HMB Beach Volleyball Club is a safe space for kids to learn new skills, grow in confidence, and expand their view of themselves and the people around them. 

 Our values are Selflessness, Focus, and Growth and we try to exemplify those values and build each child into a caring, confident, and empathetic person while transforming them into high level beach volleyball athletes.

2025 Summer Camp Registration is OPEN!
HMB Beach Summer Camp is a great introduction for kids who are new to beach volleyball and would like to give it a try.  
Who:      Girls and Boys,  Grades 4th - 8th looking to give beach volleyball a try

When:    Camp 1:  June 16th - June 19th
                Camp 2:  June 23rd  - June 26th
                Camp 3:  July 7th - July 10th
                Camp 4:  July 14th - July 17th

Days/
Times:    Mon - Thurs: 10:30 - 12:30

Cost:       $250 / Camp

Who is the Summer Camp for? 
The Summer Camp is the perfect introduction to beach volleyball or volleyball in general for new or beginning players.  It is also a great way to improve skills for early intermediate players.  Ideal for ages 8 - 13.
Difference between Summer Camp and Teams
The Summer Camp is meant to be a comprehensive introduction to beach volleyball.  It allows athletes to give the sport a try with a limited time commitment and see if it's a sport that your athlete would like to pursue further.  The Summer Camp is also often used by Team players as an additional opportunity to get more playing time in.

The Team is for an athlete who knows that they want to pursue beach volleyball and want to progress in the sport to higher levels of play.  
Days/Times: 
-  Camp #1:  June 17 - June 20
-  Camp #2: June 24 - June 27
-  Camp #3: July 8 - July 11
-  Camp #4: July 15 - July 18

-  Days/Times:  M-Th, 10:30am - 12:30pm
Cost:  $250 / camp

Beach Teams
Who are Beach Teams for?
Beach teams are for girls and boys ranging from beginning to advanced players between Grades 4 - 12 who are ready to commit to regular, weekly beach practices focused on growing their Beach Volleyball knowledge and skills.
Elite Team*
This team will be a Competitive group made up of experienced players looking to dive deeper into the advanced skills and strategies of the game.
Maximum number:  12 kids
Grades:  8th - 12th

Adventurer Team
This team will be made up of Intermediate players who have some experience but want to improve their game and compete. It is meant to teach foundational and advanced skills and move into advanced strategies.
Maximum number:  12 kids
Grades:  7th - 12th
Explorer Team
This team will be made up of Beginner/Intermediate players with some or no experience with the game and who want to grow with it. It will teach the exact same foundational skills and strategies that the Adventurer and Elite groups are learning, but at a more measured pace to give them time to develop their skills.
Maximum number:  12 kids

-  Explorer/Adventurer/Elite Bronze Teams:  Tue/Thu  - 4:00pm - 5:30pm,  Sat 10:30am - 12:00pm
-  Elite Gold Team (Invitation Only):  Mon/Wed  - 4:00pm - 5:30pm,  Sat 8:30am - 10:30am
Summer 2025 Season
June:  Jun 2 - Jun 26
July:  Jun 30 - Jul 31
August:  Aug 4 - Aug 28

Club Director & Coach - Mike Inglis

Mike Inglis is the Founder and Director of the HMB Beach Volleyball Club and is in his 6th year as the Head Coach of the Half Moon Bay High School Beach Volleyball team after founding the program in 2018 and capturing the 2021 NorCal High School Beach Volleyball Championship title just 3 short years later!    He also spent 2 years as a USA Volleyball High Performance Coach evaluating and coaching athletes for the USA National Team pipeline.  Mike has been playing volleyball for over 30 years both indoor and outdoor competitively.  He's excited to bring beach volleyball to kids in the Bay Area and impart a love for the game that can last a lifetime!
